Nice scam. Sell you a back up drive that fails then want $600 to retrieve the data.

WIthin the past 5 years, I have owned 3 seagate external drives. They ALL stopped working within 12 months. Most recently one died yesterday and the Seagate rep said he doesnt understand why it stopped working, but quickly referred me to their data recovery services...Read more

Do not buy this product. Purchased this to off load family photos from iPhone. Set up was easy. Using it was okay, but not really intuitive. It seemed very slow. Offloaded pictures from phone. Worked fine for about 4 months then it quit working. Just off phone...Read more

Seagate is more like a good idea turned out bad, than a company. The basic idea in many old-fashioned companies is to avoid contact with the customers. Seagate takes the price. The first bad customer experience you meet, is that you a prompted to buy additional space....Read more
